Google Place ID Finder

Instantly extract the Google Place ID, CID, and FID from any Google Maps URL or business listing so you can wire up review links, schema, and rank tracking. The single best on-brand tool for a Maps rank tracker.

The Google Place ID Finder extracts the four identifiers that uniquely describe a business listing on Google Maps: the Place ID, the CID (Customer ID), the FID (Feature ID), plus the precise latitude and longitude. Paste any Google Maps URL or place link, and the tool parses it entirely in your browser. No data is sent to a server, nothing is logged, and there is no API key to manage, so you get instant, private results every time.

Knowing your Place ID is essential for local SEO work. It is the stable identifier you feed into Google Business Profile tools, review-request links, schema markup, and citation audits. The CID powers shareable maps.google.com/?cid= review URLs, while the FID and coordinates help you confirm you are targeting the exact location pin and not a duplicate or merged listing. Using this Google place ID finder takes the guesswork out of grabbing those values by hand from a messy URL.

To use it, open the business in Google Maps, copy the full URL from your browser address bar (the long one that contains @lat,lng and a !1s0x... segment), and paste it into the box below. Click Find IDs and copy whichever value you need. For deeper local rank tracking across a geo-grid, start free with ProMapRanker.

FAQ

What is the difference between a Place ID, CID, and FID?

The Place ID is Google's official, API-friendly identifier (it usually starts with ChIJ). The FID (Feature ID) is the internal hex pair found after !1s in a Maps URL, formatted like 0x...:0x.... The CID is the decimal form of the second half of that FID and is used to build clean review links such as https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= or maps.google.com/?cid=.

Why can't the tool find a Place ID in my short link?

Shortened links like goo.gl/maps/... or maps.app.goo.gl/... are redirects that hide the real identifiers. Open the short link in your browser first, let it resolve to the full Maps URL, then copy that expanded URL into the finder. The full URL contains the @coordinates and !1s FID segment the tool needs.

Is my data safe when using this Google place ID finder?

Yes. All parsing happens locally in your browser using JavaScript and regular expressions. The URL you paste never leaves your device, no external request is made, and no paid API is called. You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads, the tool still works.
